Agroforestry, art and permaculture project in Saint Gervais, France, and the Koura Mountains in Lebanon

1 October 2020 @ 8 h 00 min - 31 October 2021 @ 17 h 00 min

The creation of ecological as well as societal regeneration spaces.

Our approach:

We make the link between oppression exercised on our land and this marginalizing system; the whole is a source of violence that oppresses us all. We conceive the project in a broad and inclusive way. We realize that working with the land is a means of subsistence, as well as a means of food, emotional, and spiritual support. Therefore, it provides holistic support to the people, preventing victimization, and becoming a liberating means against the enmity we encounter.

We include artistic creation (agroforestry/permaculture is a source of creation). This approach is a means to challenge the patriarchal productivity system, which is a source of destruction, as we observed during the recent disaster in Beirut.

Working hand in hand with Lebanon also allows us to consider the contributions of the South as equally essential and ultimately bring a better understanding of the crucial role of land and creativity as a transformative/regenerative source against the exploitation and oppression of the ever-present neoliberal world.

Our needs:

Our project seeks people to plant trees for an agroforestry project, action in solidarity with the most marginalized (refugees, LGBTQIA), and help with fundraising events to raise awareness with fundraising actions. All projects are being developed between Haute-Savoie region in France and the Koura mountains in Lebanon.
